The Artist
My life has been filled with
creativity since childhood. Although I've taken many formal and informal
art classes, I consider myself
self-taught. My favorite genre is a whimsical "folk art" style
of painting. My works on canvas, wood and limited edition prints are in private
collections throughout the US and Europe and are on display in many business
offices.
Designing hand-hooked rugs
using traditional and punch needle methods is one of my favorite pastimes as
well as spinning fiber from my small herd of Shetland sheep. Needle-felting or "painting" with fiber
is another art form I enjoy.
In 2007 I stopped production of my Folk Art
Collectibles after almost 15 years. These were reproductions of my original paintings of historic and
notable buildings mounted on
small blocks of wood. Now I have a line of prints available to my
collectors.
My husband, Stanley, and I are grateful for
our simple life in the country tending to our Shetland sheep, Angora goat, 4 cats and many hives of bees.

In July of 2007 my husband Stanley
and I had the opportunity of a lifetime to serve the Lord on a mission trip to rural
West Virginia with our church, The First Presbyterian Church of
Alexandria. We helped replace a rotted floor in the fellowship hall of
a small church in Eskdale, WV. Now this special church and its
congregation can continue their mission to feed the hungry of the area each
month. See photos below and click
